Sandals and socks
There are a lot of different thoughts when it comes to sandals and socks. I for one am not with it. But in my neighborhood it seems to be the "In" thing. Not only does it seem to be the in thing but it has been for many years now. White Jordan sandals and black socks. I can't imagine why people think this looks good but unless it is a little colder than you thought it would be there is no reason to put socks on with sandals. As a matter of fact if it's cold... WEAR SHOES! ALL of my African American friends wear Sandals and socks. I don't know if that's because people of the darker persuasion have just terribly ugly feet or what the deal is. But it is a complete joke. The only time that this is acceptable is when you are going to a basketball game in which you are playing in so you can take off your sandals and get right into your high tops. I am not saying that (being a northeast kid) I have not delved into wearing socks and sandals but I was just young and trying to look cool for the old heads, even though there is nothing cool about it. I hope to god that in the next couple years people realize how tragic of a style choice this is and make a change. But I do not see it happening anywhere in northeast Philadelphia, it also takes place in South Philly as well. But who really cares about south philly anyway? You all look ridiculous and please, PLEASE.... stop this ridiculous "trend."

Coming back from blog vacation with straight heat, Joe. Drive anywhere on the blvd and you will see no fewer than 10 people wearing the "northeast uniform". White tee, basketball shorts down near the ankles, black socks, and sandals.
